We begin with a simple thesis: Mobility changes everything.
__________________________________________________
Mobility will enable new patterns of interactivity,
engagement, and behavior for students, faculty, and staff. Likewise for approaches to learning and the use of classrooms
and other learning spaces. The relationship of campus places to other community places will change when those places become
learning spaces. The learning and living choices available to faculty, staff, and students will expand dramatically.
Pervasive, wireless technology, distance/distributed/e-learning, and portalized, self-service administrative/academic support
services will liberate learners from the bonds that once tied them to the traditional campus and the patterns and cadences of
campus life.
